Distinguishing features: Bright red hair, nearly-omnipresent dimpled grin. HUGE extrovert.
Motivations: Kasai is going through life to have fun. He doesn’t party, per se, but he likes hanging around 7-11 at two in the morning in order to freak out the cashiers. He’s found that sniffing the candy bars weirds them out a little.
Other skills: Hand-to-hand combat---got good at smacking people around in the public school system---stronger than he looks. Also knows a lot about Japanese mythology due to his mother being Japanese and his father a professor before their untimely deaths.
Weaknesses: Being alone, claustrophobia, quick temper, doesn’t think before talking. Ever.
Skeleton in the closet: Death of parents, and then the subsequence death of a childhood friend. Has extremely vivid nightmares.
History: The only child of a now-dead professor and his equally dead Asian wife, Kasai worked his way through the foster care system by smiling big at his new mommies and daddies and then finding amazing ways to slip out of their grasps. He didn’t stay with any set of parents for more than a year, always managing to get sent away to someone with more patience towards his attitude and pranks. Kasai is amazingly easy-going, though---just used to doing things his way, on his schedule, despite what others might want or demand of him.
